3 Bed Reform Finca in Torremendo with 7000m2 of Land. Here we have an attached finca (middle house) located only 3 minutes outside of the quaint village of Torremendo and consists of 3 bedrooms. It will need a complete renovation!! The finca was built over 120 years ago. Facing south. This finca comes with 7,000 m2 of land which is situated in front of the building, and at the moment it is being used to grow oranges and almonds. Opposite the house is a brick structure in need of repair. This is a small area. The surface area of the finca is about 200m2 all on one level. A brief description of the property: You enter into what was the living room with an adjacent bedroom to the right. A good sized double. From the living room straight ahead into the dining room, with an old fashioned kitchen comprised of an open fire place for cooking and a small work surface for preparation. On the right is another double bedroom. Through a small arch on the left goes through to the third bedroom then into 2 separated storage areas which were used as stables for horses back in the day. From here is another room which is believed to be used as the tack room or pantry. Electric will need to be installed by solar panels. 12 panels and a backup generator will cost about €14,000. Water is on site, with being an underground well. This is fresh drinking water, but will need to be connected to the property. A septic tank will need to be installed as well. A private swimming pool is ok to be built in front of the property. As this property has two entrances there is a possibility to separate this building into 2 separate dwellings. Torremendo village has all the amenities you require with a shop, bakers and butchers. Doctors and pharmacy, bank and not forgetting about the fantastic junior school. There is a municipal swimming pool which is open in the summer months and 6 bars and restaurants. Only 10 minutes’ drive to san Miguel de Salinas which has gyms, larger supermarkets and a weekly Wednesday street market for your fresh fruit and veg.

A deceptively spacious, south-facing, ground floor, corner property within easy reach of all village amenities. Comprising: 1 bedroom, bathroom, independent kitchen, large lounge/dining area leading onto a glazed terrace area. Don Pelayo is a modern community made up of only twenty 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and duplexes. Finished using only the highest quality materials throughout, ideally situated, viewing highly recommended. The once tiny village of Daya Vieja is located just 8km from the coastal town of Guardamar, being very low lying just 4m above sea level, both the “Daya´s” Vieja and Nueva´s name come from Arabic where the word daya means closed low lying depression. Daya Vieja has a dry and sunny climate and has very little rainfall and almost 3,000 hours of sun a year Nowadays Daya Vieja is a busy little Spanish village with a population in 2006 of 354 inhabitants,(official census) with the village life being centred around the village park, where every evening and weekend lunchtimes families meet with their children who play in the playground and the adults enjoy a drink at the quiosco bar. The locals are known as “Dayenses” and was separated from Daya Nueva in 1791 and was fully rebuilt from 1855 to 1857 after being destroyed in the massive earthquake in 1829, the village was inaugurated on the 12th October 1857 by the Bishop of Orihuela. The local fiestas from the 1st to the 8th September which is the saints day of the Virgen de Montserrate and, the whole village revolves, day and night, around the festivities. The “Romeria” on the 15th May is another popular festival with dancing starting late in the evening at the recreational area with BBQ´s where you can cook your own supper. The local gastronomy in the village is “Cocido” a type of stew, rice with rabbit, rice with vegetables or meat and the local desserts are a type of swiss roll and “pan de calatrava” a type of flan. The patron saint of the village is La Virgen de Monserrate and the story says that in the XV century the local neighbours could hear a ringing that appeared to come from underground, they searched and found buried, an image that had been hidden for centuries. The name of the image or who she was, was a mystery so they decided to vote for a name for her and the name of Santa Maria de Montserrate came out three times. The place where she was found on the outskirts of the village is now a lovely “Ermita” Hermitage. The image of the virgin is made from olive wood and measures 45 cm and is seated on a chair and when found had a child in her hand who was holding a bird in its fingers, the child and the bird were lost (if they ever existed). Attempts over the years have been made to identify the image but no one’s been able to 100%.
